Hair Treatment and Gel Manicure @Kimarie, Kota Damansara

It's countless that how many times I have been visiting Kimarie Hair Salon where I used to have my re-bonding (hair straightening) and hair perm done there since primary school time. After all, I have stopped as I realized the existence of curling tong and straightener which can get our hair done manually.

Few years later, I am engaged to Kimarie again. My round one has brought me to their new outlet which just recently opened right at Kota Damansara (next to Loudspeaker) for the first time after so many years, getting my turquoise hair turned into brown hair. I was pretty amazed with their Kerastase hair treatment and hair coloring skill.

- Interior Design -

Here's my second visit at this outlet again. I was so impressed with their interior design when I first walked in the salon. Unlike those usual salon with black and white theme which giving us much feeling like cleanliness and tidiness, Kimarie decorated their salon which more brownish earthy tone, giving much like a vintage feeling.

Decorated with red bricks, wooden made chairs and tables, it's much like a cottage than salon. It''s best giving us a home-like environment, warm and cozy. Most of the products used are Kerastase and L'Oreal.

- Hair Treatment -

This was how my hair looks like before treatment. Perhaps it looked not much differ with the dry grass, with frizzy and split ends. I used to damage my hair in the past if you do follow my updates, like dip dyed, full red hair then green.

Kimarie is well-known with their treatment service. There's even a room for the hair treatment session, a comfort zone with our privacy being protected teehee xD

After applying the L'Oreal hair treatment cream, my hair was sent to steam for  approximately 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, taa daa I have my hair blow dry and this was how it looked eventually! Obviously that my hair looked smoother and healthier!

- Manicure -

At this outlet, it's pretty different as they even provides manicure and pedicure services using full OPI products.

Here I have Hazel, Kimarie Nail Technicians doing gel manicure for me. As usual, basic nail shaping, removal of dead skin and nail care will be done before the application of gel nail.

Some of the nail displayed done by Hazel. Any theme for her will do! You may also bring some of the magazine or sample pictures as reference for her, and she will get your nail done as you preferred!

Lastly, I have my nail done in pastel colors with delicious ice-cream theme. Aren't they looking cute and delicate? It needs time and patience to get perfect drawn of nail arts.

Basic manicure | RM40.

I have flat oily nails, thus most of the manicure doesn't last long for my past experience. Basic manicure lasted for a day or even half day. Gel manicure ridiculously lasted for only 2 days (basically gel manicure can last for at least two weeks), not to mention where I did that gel manicure. 

BUT

Gel manicure which I did in Kimarie, it lasts much longer on my nails and now still counting the days, it's already 5 days teehee =D

Interview Session with Mom: Scholl, Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File

Ahh, I guess most of us, especially female don't really pay a great attention on our both feet compare to hair, manicure or body care. So, we used to have cracked heels due to lack of foot care (like hygienic issue and moisturization) , overexposure, prolong standing posture or even ill fitting shoes. Review: Interview session with mom

What do you think about it when you first saw this velvetsmooth pedi kit?
I wonder what is this and how it works. It looks cool.

Do you find it convenient or hard for application?
Obviously that it's super convenience in usage as it works only in a click. It does not consume much time and energy. I just need to put it on the preferred area which consists of dead skins.

How long you spend to remove your dead skin using velvetsmooth compare to manually operated tool?
I spend around 8-10 minutes if using a file tool manually. Yet, I spend only 3-5 minutes using velvet smooth.

Do you find it effective?
It's a yes. My feet appeared to be much smooth after using it. I guess I can soon achieve gorgeous feet after long term usage.

Do you think the price is affordable for you?
It's quite affordable as we are actually paying for the machine and they provide roller head refill pack in the market.

What's your rating for velvet smooth or anything to be improved?
4/5. As it's not good enough to fully removed the dead skins and it's kinda noisy.

What do I think about it?

I used it as a day cream as our skin tend to expose to the sun or staying in air-conditioning room and our skin appears to be more dehydrated. 48 hours of moisturization is definitely a must! I found out that this cream appear to be slightly oily compare to the gel form. Yet, I am still used to it as it performs to be in a 'acceptable oily' level. After using it, I found out that my skin appear to be fuller, supple and glowing in health.

 ---Hydra Vital Gel---

Hydra Vital Gel is a cooling gel which provides 24 hours hydration, giving our skin instant and intense hydration. Soothes and revitalizes the skin at the same time. The aqueous gel immediately melts into the skin smoothly, giving an thirst-quenching effect, restore radiance and vitality from dawn to dusk.

Texture and scent
It's in gel form in light apple green color and watery texture. It comes with a pleasant scent which smell much like a kind of floral, which is refreshing and relaxing.

What do I think about it?
This is definitely my favorite! It's not oily and even after a long hours, my skin still appear to glow in healthy instead of extreme-glow. It promotes quick absorption as I only massage my face for 1-2 minutes and then it's fully absorb by my skin, leaving my skin in smooth and hydrated condition. I used to apply it as night cream as after the whole day, it's time to give your skin some water and I guess it will perform better when you are sleeping. The scent is brilliant as it tends to clam me down as well.
